The Snow Came Back

Well here we are. Last week it got up to 72 and today we looked out the window to see a few inches of snow. Typical March weather. I just don't know why I get my hopes up every year. You would think I had learned by now!

Some pictures are coming soon of some thrifty sewing I have been doing. I fixed a dress shirt, saved some jeans, and took some old wide legged and colored pants and altered them to be straight. I love that my parents got me a sewing machine for my birthday last year. It has come in so handy for things like this!

S'March Weather

It is that time of the year here in Utah. People are walking around in shorts and t-shirts like it is summer time. Really it is only in the high 50s, but hey we get excited. This time we are all hoping that it sticks around, but with the typical Utah pattern we are probably going to be disappointed.

Let's cross our fingers and hope it stays warm!

Some Warm Sunshine!

We were lucky enough to tag along on a mini-vacation that Brett's sister and her family had to St. George. We did basically everything we normally would, but it was nice to not be at school, work, or home. It was great to hang out with each other, Michelle and Brad, and their two adorable kids. A 3 mile run, tandem bike-ride, a hike and delicious frozen custard later it was a great escape.

Some Wonderful News!

Brett received some fantastic news today. He officially found out that he has been accepted to the MPA program at Brigham Young University for this upcoming fall. He has been working for this for as long as I have known him and it is refreshing to see the hard work he put into his studies and volunteer work paying off and allowing him to get into his first choice graduate school. We are so excited to begin this next stage of our lives and I am so proud of Brett's accomplishment.
